Stainless steel | 1.4901 | X10CrWMoVNb9-2

Description

The high-temperature martensitic-ferritic steel 1.4901, also known as X10CrMoVNb9-1, impresses with its excellent creep and heat resistance as well as its high mechanical strength at elevated temperatures. Due to its outstanding resistance to oxidation and corrosion under thermal stress, it is preferred for use in power plants, steam turbines and high-temperature systems. In power generation and plant engineering in particular, 1.4901 is used for highly stressed components such as turbine blades, boiler components and pipelines. With metal 3D printing using Laser Powder Bed Fusion, complex, high-temperature-resistant components can be manufactured from 1.4901 with optimized geometries that ensure a long service life and high efficiency in extreme environments.
