Description

The stainless austenitic steel 1.4404 has good corrosion resistance and can be used in the temperature range up to approx. 550 °C. Due to its additional resistance to intercrystalline corrosion up to 300 °C, this material is often used in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries as well as in the food industry. The material's good weldability makes it suitable for a wide range of applications in additive manufacturing processes.
