The maraging high-performance hot-work tool steel Specialis® is a newly developed alloy for LPBF processes and is available exclusively from Rosswag. The mechanical properties can be easily optimized through targeted heat treatments or plasma nitriding. The main advantages of Specialis® compared to other LPBF-processable tool steels are its high high-temperature strength and high hot hardness. Furthermore, the material has low thermal expansion, high corrosion and wear resistance and excellent polishability. This results in superior performance for applications in the field of functionally optimized and thermally stressed moulds, dies and tools.

Alloy 699 XA is a nickel-chromium-aluminum alloy with very good corrosion resistance. Its good weldability and unique resistance to metal dust in high-temperature corrosion make the material ideal for applications in the petrochemical industry, such as the synthesis gas production of hydrogen, ammonia and methanol, as well as the cooling of synthesis gas in the production of e-fuels. The nickel-based superalloy ABD900 is an age-hardenable high-performance alloy that was specially developed for use in powder bed fusion. It is characterized by high creep and tensile strength as well as excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance. In the hardened state, it can be used at temperatures of up to 900°C. Its excellent creep rupture strength is comparable to alloys 939 and Ni 738, while at the same time exhibiting high resistance to cracking during production and heat treatment.
