FAQ

Which materials can be used for metal 3D printing

More about materials

In principle, any weldable metal alloy can be processed in the Laser Powder Bed Fusion process, such as 3D steel, 3D nickel or 3D aluminum printing. However, the corresponding metal powder must be available and individual process parameters must be qualified for each material to ensure high-quality processing. The large number of influencing factors, from powder quality to process parameters and machine settings, makes the qualification of new materials complex. At Rosswag Engineering, we have the possibility to initially qualify new materials within two to four weeks thanks to our in-house process chain with our own metal powder production.
